The Bahor farmhouse is located in the land of green birch trees, colourfully decorated Easter eggs (pisanice), top level wine and crystal clear water, all of which is representative of Bela krajina. More precisely, it is located in the village of Zorenci, which is only five kilometres away from Črnomelj.

The house, which is now 145 years old, offers apartment accommodation to five to eight people. The hosts are especially proud of their house being the only recipient of the status of a house with tradition in Bela krajina.

You can stay at the house by yourself, with your family or friends and, of course, enjoy a selection of dishes characteristic of Bela krajina or taste the excellent house wine and homemade juices. The lady of the house is most proud of the bread that she bakes in the wood-fired bread oven just as she cooks the lamb or suckling pig.

If you arrange it in advance, the hosts will prepare an unforgettable feast for you in the old cellar that will feature a diverse selection of Bela krajina delicacies: sausages with oatmeal and pork, Bela krajina flat cakes, various potica cakes such as those made with potatoes, buckwheat, cracklings, etc. These go well with a decanter or two of White Riesling, Yellow Muscatel, Blue Franconian, Belokranjec, etc.

The fact that the house is located in the destination boasting the title ‘European Destination of 2010’ means that your stay there will certainly not leave you indifferent. You are invited to discover the villages, landscape parks and, of course, the rivers of Bela krajina, which you can see on your own or with your family from a canoe, which can be quite pleasant in the summer months.
