About the farm
You will find this farm, run by the Perk family of seven, high above the valley of Logarska dolina. When you stay at this farm, which was first mentioned as an independent farm in 1426, you will be woken up by the songs of birds and mesmerised each day anew by the magnificent view of the nearby mountain peaks.
The Perk family has been observing organic farming principles for years. They now incorporate their produce into their culinary offer in a highly imaginative way. They prepare excellent local dishes for their guests: savinjski želodec salami, solčavski sirnek ripened cottage cheese, žlinkrof dumplings, potica cakes, various types of breads – to name but a few of the most characteristic ones. The Perk family is known primarily for their delicious dairy products: cheeses, cottage cheese, sour milk and yoghurts. You can enjoy these delicacies with tea or infusions such as homemade mountain tea or herbal tea. If you like discovering the freshness of flavours, you must taste their homemade juices.
The positioning of the farm makes it an excellent starting point for ascending the nearby mountain peaks and getting to know the valley of Logarska dolina and its surroundings. You can also take part in adrenaline-filled adventures on the rapids of the Savinja River. The Perk family are always happy to show their guests what farm life is all about: you can take part in everyday farm choirs; the lady of the house may disclose to you a culinary secret or two and even introduce you to the world of herbalism. Another way to enjoy your stay is to simply indulge in the tranquil embrace of nature, far removed from today’s fast-paced world.
