About the farm
Drbetinci is a small village with vast vistas; in fair weather, you can see Ptuj 15 kilometres away on one side and the vineyards of Slovenske gorice on the other.
The farm bearing the name Pri Kapeli is a winegrowing farm; four hectares of vineyards are located in the vicinity of the homestead, along Wine Tourism Road number 13, deemed to be an active wine road as there is always something happening at the providers’. The Druzovič family mostly cultivate the white varieties of Riesling Italico, Sauvignon, Pinot gris, Yellow Muscatel, Traminer and Rhine Riesling, but also the red varieties of Blue Franconian and Pinot noire. They organise guided tastings for guests (the house employs a wine consultant) where they accompany wines with cheese, dried fruit and krapci rolls.
The hosts like to recommend that guests visit Ptuj, and perhaps the wine cellars at Gornja Radgona or Lenart, as well as take a drive to the lake of Blaguško jezero. The surroundings are suitable for cycling or running, and there is always enough work on the farm. Because they cultivate and process apples, tables are always well-stocked with fresh fruit and apple juice, vinegar and brandy, dried apples and jams. They are known for mushroom dishes, buckwheat žganci and various pogača flat cakes.
