About the farm

Maribor - Dravograd = pri odcepu za Ruše zavijete levo, kmetija se nahaja takoj na levi strani.

Pri Ratu tourist farm is in the Drava valley on the main road between Maribor and Dravograd and enjoys wonderful views across Pohorje.

Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a glass of plum or blueberry brandy. On the tourist farm, about which legend relates that it was once a carriage drivers’ inn, they are still masters in the preparation of tasty peasants’ food. Special love accompanies the serving of meat in aspic jelly, appetising gibanica and apple strudel.

Selected beverages go well with carefully prepared dishes. Your hosts are thus able to offer you wine from their own vineyard or home-produced apple juice.

Nature lovers are sure to enjoy walking and hiking around the nearby forests and the plains of the Drava valley. Those more actively inclined can go skiing on Maribor Pohorje in winter, or find new energy in the Finnish sauna specially set up to ensure your total wellbeing. The closeness of the thermal pools at Fontana, Habakuk or Terme Ptuj enables you, irrespective of the time of year, to have a great time in a world of water.
