About the farm
Tourist farms have taken a step forward in cuisine and the tourist offer at the Vimpolšek Family is centred around good food.
The family is active in the integrated cultivation of crops and vegetables, they breed free-range poultry and pigs, and they make great dishes guided by the recipes of our grandmas – specialities like smoked pork leg with sauerkraut and buckwheat žganci, stew with crackling, buckwheat cake ... Just add a glass of home-made wine and you get perfection.
The farm is children-friendly and has a children's playground. The hosts can also teach you how to make hay using a scythe and how to thrash grains. The farm is an excellent starting point for visiting the castle in Brežice, the swimming pools in Terme Čatež, the church of St. Vid, the castle and golf course in Mokrice and repnicas (caves dug into siliceous sand for storing crops) in Bizeljsko.
