About the farm

You will find the tourist farm of the Valentinčič family in Podsabotin, the first village in Goriška Brda. It is surrounded by vineyards that grow proudly on the fertile soil of Goriška Brda where the great grandfather Doro planted the first vines 47 years ago, all of which means that this farm is truly worth visiting.

The Valentinčič family is most proud of their quality wine, into which they invest a lot of tender loving care and knowledge. You are sure to enjoy the tastings of many varieties of wine ranging from the autochthonous Briška Rebula (Ribolla) to the usual French varieties. They produce mostly fresh white wines: Briška Rebula (Ribolla), Sauvignon vert, Pinot gris, Chardonnay, Malvasia. Their red varieties include Pinot noire and Merlot.

The Valentinčič family is famous for their excellent culinary masterpieces: frtalja omelettes made with herbs freshly picked from the home garden, homemade jam, fruit juices and cold cuts.

You can stay at the tourist farm throughout the year and enjoy the following activities: bungee jumping from the Solkan Bridge, hikes to Sabotin and Sveta Gora, football, basketball and volleyball (Kojsko, 6 km), fishing in the Soča River (3 km), cycling, jumping into the Adriatic Sea, which is only 30 kilometres away, or into the pool on the farm. In winter, you can take to the ski slopes on Mount Kanin or in Cerkno.

The people in Goriška Brda (Brici) are very proud of the cultural heritage of their milieu, so you should not neglect visiting Šmartno with a defensive wall and Sveta Gora with a WWI museum or seeing the Dobrovo Castle, etc.
