The Drča family farm is situated in a small village of the same name, on a hill under the mighty Gorjanci mountain range. The farm is on a secluded location, surrounded by vineyards on one side and by a forest on the other.

All five members of the Drča family will delight you with their hospitality. The hosts like to point out that they will pour their guests only the best wine and are also known to cook a delicious roast suckling pig or lamb in the outside fireplace. In winter, guests particularly appreciate their homemade sausages and other meat products that are a staple of the menu throughout the year. The hostess will be happy to provide vegetarian meals as well. Guests who decide to visit the farm can also join the hostess in cooking all these wonderful dishes, and if you visit the farm in autumn, you can join in grape harvesting as well as collecting and roasting chestnuts. If you wish, you can go for a ride in an old-fashioned cart drawn by beautiful Lipizzaner horses.

The farm is an excellent starting point for visiting Pleterje Carthusian monastery and the nearby thermal resorts (Šmarješke Toplice, Terme Čatež, Dolenjske toplice). If you like horseback riding, we're happy to inform you that there is an excellent riding school near the farm, suitable both for those who wish to learn the basics of horseback riding as well as for those who want to improve their skills.
