Gingerbread

Ingredients: 1500 g flour, 250 g butter, 600 g sugar, 6 eggs, 6  tablespoons honey, 2 dl sour cream, a pinch of salt, 2 tablespoons  grounded cinnamon, 2 teaspoons cloves (klinčki), 2 teaspoons bicarbonate  of soda, 1 bag baking powder, honey or egg coat, if desired.  Preparation method Whip the fat, eggs and sugar until the froth appears.  Then add honey and bicarbonate of soda previously melted in a spoon of  milk. Add the baking powder mixed in the flour, and then the rest of the  ingredients. Mix the dough. Knead well and leave to rest for several  hours. Form the balls or roll the dough and make any shape you like with  the models (stars, hearts, moons, etc.). Bake for 20 minutes at 160°C.  They may be brushed with white of egg to shine when cooled down or  covered with a mixture of hot honey when still warm.
