About the farm
Kaki – that's the word that best describes our farm overlooking the sea and the salt pans. We are situated in Strunjan, which in November celebrates the festival of kaki or persimmons, the noble fruit known as the food of the Gods.
We use it to make jam and spirits, and we are most proud of the quality mark we received for our dried kaki. We also grow a local indigenous variety of artichoke; the Artichoke Festival is held in May. Guests can enjoy homemade cold cuts, home-grown fresh (and pickled) vegetables, bakala in bianco, fish in marinade and, if desired, Istrian stews (bobiči or jota). In our stone canteen, we serve good Refosco and equally good Malvasia.
We are open all year round by prior arrangement. You are warmly welcome!
